Petr Jiříkovský receives many invitations to conduct chamber and symphonic orchestras in the Czech Republic and Slovakia (North Czech Philharmonic Teplice, South Czech Philharmonic, Prague Chamber Orchestra, Slovak State Philharmonic Košice, Talich Chamber Orchestra). In the years 2012-2014 he was the conductor of the South Bohemian Opera in České Budějovice. Petr Jiříkovský very often appears in piano concertos as a conductor and pianist at the same time. 

His performances as a pianist have earned his international acclaim. Foreign engagements have brought him to the top concert venues in Europe, the US, South America and Japan, with the most important stages being the Mozarteum in Salzburg, Theatre du Chatelet in Paris, Doelen in Rotterdam, the Kennedy Center in Washington, Teatro Alfa in Sao Paulo or Suntory Hall in Tokyo. Petr Jiříkovský has also performed at various music festivals, such as the Salzburger Festspiele, Schleswig-Holstein, Schwetzingen, Sion-Valais, Colmar, Kyoto Autumn and many others.

Domestic audiences will recognize Petr Jiříkovský as the soloist from his recitals at the Prague Spring Festival and the prestigious Prague Symphony series “World Piano Music”.

Petr Jiříkovský is also known as a talented chamber musician. Since 1993 he has been working with the violinist Pavel Šafařík and the cellist Jaroslav Matějka in Trio Martinů (www.triomartinu.cz) He has also been the piano partner of the violinist Pavel Šporcl for many years; they have made numerous recordings together, the most notable of them being the collected works of Antonín Dvořák for violin and piano released on the Supraphon label (several CDs from this complete set were awarded Supraphon’s Gold Disc). Petr Jiříkovský has also become more familiar to listeners through his radio recordings and other outstanding CD titles recorded for various publishers. He was highly acclaimed by Czech and foreign music critics for his recordings (Studio Matouš) of the major piano cycles by Bedřich Smetana, whose work is an important part of the pianist’s key concert repertoire. With his colleague Daniel Wiesner he has made the world premier piano four hands recording of Bedřich Smetana’s My Country, as arranged by the composer himself. In addition, Petr Jiříkovský has performed with Daniel Wiesner in many successful programmes of piano four hands repertoire. 

捷克中生代鋼琴家和指揮家吉利柯夫斯基曾師隨多位名家研習鋼琴，包括於布拉格的Emil Leichner、Ivan Klánský，巴黎的Eugen Indjic、Itamar Golan，以及於維也納跟隨Michael Schnitzler研習室內樂。除了作為獨奏家和室內樂演奏家，自2008年起他亦擔當專業指揮的工作。

吉利柯夫斯基曾參加多重要藝術節和樂季並與指揮多個享譽樂團，包括南、北捷克愛樂樂團、布拉格室內樂團、斯洛伐克國立愛樂及塔利赫室內樂團等。他的鋼琴演奏亦贏得了國際讚譽，除了在家鄉提克演出邀約不斷，吉利柯夫斯基也曾經在歐洲、美國、南美和日本的頂級音樂廳舉行演奏會。他亦以鋼琴家身份與捷克愛樂樂團、布拉格交響樂團等多個國際知名樂團合作，最近也獲邀於布拉格之春音樂節舉行獨奏會。

吉利柯夫斯基推出過不少唱片錄音，當中最為人熟識的是他於捷克品牌Matous灌錄的史麥塔納作品，特別是他與另一鋼琴家丹尼爾•威斯納一同錄製的《我的祖國 - 四手聯彈版本》，不但在當地廣受好評，更在歐美、亞洲地區獲得樂評人高度評價。此部四手聯彈版本唱片亦成為中、港、台地區最受古典樂迷歡迎和熱賣的《我的祖國》鋼琴版唱片。除了獨奏和四手聯彈作品外，吉利柯夫斯基也作為Martinu三重奏的成員之一推出多張唱片，涉獵曲目廣泛。 

除了演奏和指揮事業，吉利柯夫斯基也熱衷於教學，培育音樂新生代，現於布拉格音樂學院擔任教授。
